July 4th marked the birth of our nation. Independence Day! Many of us celebrated this holiday with picnics and family gatherings, eating hot dogs and hamburgers, and then we closed the day with a display of fireworks. But do we remember WHY we celebrated this National Holiday? Think about it.
"When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn."
Prov. 29:2

We have been given the mandate to create a place of worship and change for those who want to go deeper into the things of God and to allow the Holy Spirit the liberty to lead us into all Truth. Psalms 22:3 tell us that “He inhabits the praises of His people and as we worship Him in true holiness, we enter into His glory, and He confirms His Word with signs following.” (Mark 16:17)
1 Peter 2:9 points out, “We are called to show the world His virtue and show forth His praises – to show forth God Himself.” The world should see God in the church body.
That’s our calling and that’s our destiny!
